One of my favorite hikes is Lake Twenty Two just outside of Granite Falls, WA. It's aprox 3 miles long to the alpine lake at the top. You start down at the River and hike though the temperate rain forest with waterfalls, rivers, bridges, switchbacks and beautiful scenery. The trail climbs aprox 800ft elevation over 3 miles and is an easy trail to hike. There is one section near the top that is an open area that is rocky and no trees, so in the summer it's the hot part of the hike but a very small section overall. The lake at the top is spectacular and you really feel like you went on a substantial hike. Pack a lunch and use the bathroom at the bottom before you go up and always remember to Pack Out what you Pack In! Share your favorite recent hike. Share a picture of video and Location!
